This Wayne Dalton outside Step Plate and Lift Handle is perfect for most garage doors 1" in thickness. The mounting pattern is 2⅜" on center and the depth of the step is 1¼". For doors 1⅜" - 2" thick you may need the Inside Step Plate as well.
The two studs in the back of the step plate were about a half inch shorter than the original ones so the screws supplied were not long enough. I had to buy two screws a half inch longer. It might be a good idea to supply the short screws and longer screws since the new step plate isn't exactly the same size as the old ones.
HI PRODUCT DID NOT FIT MY DOOR. IT IS TO SMALL FOR MY DOOR. ITS MY FAULT, I DID NOT MEASURE THE SCREW HOLES. MY DOOR MUST BE REALLY OLDER. OH WELL. COMPANY TOOK MY ORDER WHAT I PICKED, SENT IT REALLY QUICK.
I live in Wisconsin. My order went from South Dakota to Nebraska to Illinois to Wisconsin to Nebraska to Illinois back to WI. It was on time, just seemed like lots of unnecessary steps.
