Sprocket Saddle | 36196A.S
Sprocket Saddle | 36196A.S is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Is your opener getting louder at the powerhead end, with the chain or belt slapping or the sprocket looking crooked? The sprocket saddle holds the drive sprocket in place where the rail meets the powerhead on Genie T-rail openers. When it wears or breaks, the sprocket can shift out of line, which leads to noise, chain or belt wear, and uneven door travel. This genuine Genie sprocket saddle is the direct replacement.
Does this fit my opener?
- Genie ProMax PMX300 IC/A, PMX500 IC/A, PMX300 IC/B, PMX500 IC/B
- Genie IC250 and IC250/B
- T-rail only: this part is used on rails that look like a black upside-down T
- How to confirm: look at the end of your rail. If it's a black upside-down T, this is your part. If it's a silver C-channel rail, this saddle will not fit. C-channel rails use sprocket bushings (27222A.S) instead

Installation Notes
Close the door, pull the emergency release, and unplug the opener. Loosen the chain or belt tension so you can work at the powerhead end of the rail. Remove the sprocket and the old saddle, seat the new saddle, and reinstall the sprocket so it sits square and turns freely. Re-tension the chain or belt, reconnect the carriage, plug in the opener, and run the door through a full cycle to check for smooth, quiet travel.
