Description

Wayne Dalton TorqueMaster Plus Replacement Spring

Technical

See our "How To" section to identify if you have a TorqueMaster Plus or TorqueMaster Original System.

You can find most of the TorqueMaster ordering information you need labeled on your garage door spring tube. Most doors have this information located on the left side of the spring tube. The word weight has two common abbreviations; Wt. and Wgt. See photo for Example.

All information must be completed in order to process your order and prevent delays. If you are not able to locate any of the ordering information needed send us an email using the Contact Us tab. Please include your garage door width, height, thickness, model number and if your door has windows or not. If you can not find your model number please attach photos of the inside of your garage door. This will ensure we provide you with the information you need to place your order.
Your new spring will come with a protective plastic sleeve, new anchor and winding ends already installed which make the installation even easier. The actual garage door metal tube that the springs slide into is not included and can be reused.

TorqueMaster springs you will receive will not always match your old springs due to the switch from an oil tempered spring to a new high tensile strength music wire spring. That it is why it is very important for you to fill in all the fields on the order for to assure you receive the proper springs for your door. The springs you receive will mostly not match your old spring in length or any many cases the spring end will be made of metal instead of plastic. These are all improvements Wayne Dalton has made to make your springs last longer.

If you have difficulty removing your broken spring from the tube you can use a wooden dowel and hammer to drive out old spring parts that may be lodged in the tube. Make sure the wooden dowels are as close to the spring tube size as possible.
It is recommended you replace all springs. Residential springs have a life expectancy of 10,000 hours. Depending on use, this is an average of 6-7 years. If one spring has failed it is likely the paired spring will soon fail as well.

No customer service
Ordered set of springs and when package arrived there were no spring inside. Tried to contact seller multiple times through email on site( no phone number to call) but no one ever replied.I had to order spring from different web site. Product might be good but if you don't get it you are out of luck getting anyone to help you.

One Stop Shop
I needed new springs and came across this site online. The ordering process specified all of the essential information when ordering springs which drove me to an easy installation process having the exact set. I did not have to deal with anyone since shipping was on time and product was correct upon delivery. Product was packed well.

Best in the market
I was shopping for the spring and bought this one from Door Parts.com. They were the cheapest price wise, they shipped on time and well packaged. The springs were in professional grade and it worked just find after installation.Suggestion: Additional instruction manual would have been handy, but easily found in internet.

Make sure that you get the right weight springs
I bought this kits because my old style stripped out. I guessed my door's weight at 250. It was actually 234. Let me tell you that the 16 lbs difference is very critical. Bruce was a huge help with me and after I found out the correct weight springs, he gave me a great deal on them, to make sure I was happy. Great customer service and very nice to work with. I now have a working garage door. Tha

Just What I Needed
Make sure you check the ends of your Torquemaster (If that is what you are ordering). They make two and they are not interchangeable. I received a different end and had to change it to the original, which can be a challenge if you don't have the tools. Other than that, everything went well and my GD is back up and opening on command! (I'm going to order another one for the other door).
