When replacing TorqueMaster Springs it is necessary to identify if the door utilizes the original TorqueMaster One, or the newer TorqueMaster Plus spring system.
The easiest way to distinguish these is by visually inspecting the end brackets. ToqueMaster One has a counter and winding fitting to the end, while TorqueMaster Plus has the anti-drop pawl and rachet gear inside the end bracket. You can also determine each type of spring system by looking at the winding shaft on the end of the springs.
The counterbalance weight (e.g. Wt. or Wgt.) on the sticker is the most important when determining the correct spring needed.
The spring's job is to store the mechanical energy from the weight of the door. When this is done correctly the Opener | Operator has to do minimal work. It is best practice to choose springs within 10 pounds of the garage door weight as outside that will cause the motor to work harder than needed to open/close the garage door.

We ordered a new spring for our torquemaster plus in the garage. Purchasing was an easy and quick process. Item arrived sooner than initially estimated. And now our garage door is operable again! We will keep door-parts in mind next time a repair like this arises.
★★★★★ Outstanding springs and even better shipping I ordered TorqueMaster Plus springs for my garage door and they delivered on every count. The springs themselves are excellent quality — they seated correctly, the door balances smoothly, and the lift feels even and quiet. Installation was straightforward. If you’ve worked on a TorqueMaster Plus tube system before, these went in without any surprises. Shipping was the real standout. The package arrived five days ahead of the original delivery date and showed up in great condition. That kind of turnaround is rare for specialty garage-door parts. Highly recommend. Quality springs, easy install, and shipping that actually beat the estimate. I’d buy from them again without hesitation.

Thank you so much for all your support. From the first communication, within minutes, you asked the right questions, showed me the part my garage needed, based on the info I shared and within three days, my garage was up and running. Ironically, I called a competitor before I reach out to you and was ignored. They finally got back to me...two hours after my door was back in operation. You guys rock! Five stars !!!!
