When replacing TorqueMaster Springs it is necessary to identify if the door utilizes the original TorqueMaster One, or the newer TorqueMaster Plus spring system.
The easiest way to distinguish these is by visually inspecting the end brackets. ToqueMaster One has a counter and winding fitting to the end, while TorqueMaster Plus has the anti-drop pawl and rachet gear inside the end bracket. You can also determine each type of spring system by looking at the winding shaft on the end of the springs.
The counterbalance weight (e.g. Wt. or Wgt.) on the sticker is the most important when determining the correct spring needed.
The spring's job is to store the mechanical energy from the weight of the door. When this is done correctly the Opener | Operator has to do minimal work. It is best practice to choose springs within 10 pounds of the garage door weight as outside that will cause the motor to work harder than needed to open/close the garage door.

I was absolutely impressed from start to finish with this company. I don’t typically write reviews but, because of the help that Tyler S. Gave me, I feel compelled to. I didn’t know where to turn because I knew nothing about a Wayne Dalton spring system. I watched a man on YouTube who provided a link to this company and decided to give it a shot. Long story short, I received an email, which I followed up with a phone call to Tyler S., that blew me away. This company saw my order and thought I made a mistake with the weight and wanted to make sure I didn’t order the wrong one! I’ve never heard of a company that cared like that, especially today. Tyler and I talked for almost 1/2 hour about the door spring amongst other things. After hanging up, I knew that this company had my back if there was a problem. Our garage door broke unexpectedly. Our house is only 4.5 years old and we never thought the garage door spring would go. Most of our local repair places wouldn't repair Tourque Master systems. I was able to take the spring down on my own and figure out how to repair it. I am a moderate DIYer. It's a reasonable project and probably saved me at least $500 to do it myself. The instructions were even in the shipping box so I didn't need to look them up. Great job!

Tyler's help was was above and beyond and he obviously know the products. I still didn't care for the restocking charge for the return of the original order, especially when I purchased a retrofit kit to replace obsoleted parts that were the real issue.

The one issue I had was getting the old springs out. After getting the sleeve out, I had to get a 10’ rebar to pound out the one spring that refused to come loose. But otherwise the instructions were great.
