When replacing TorqueMaster Springs it is necessary to identify if the door utilizes the original TorqueMaster One, or the newer TorqueMaster Plus spring system.
The easiest way to distinguish these is by visually inspecting the end brackets. ToqueMaster One has a counter and winding fitting to the end, while TorqueMaster Plus has the anti-drop pawl and rachet gear inside the end bracket. You can also determine each type of spring system by looking at the winding shaft on the end of the springs.
The counterbalance weight (e.g. Wt. or Wgt.) on the sticker is the most important when determining the correct spring needed.
The spring's job is to store the mechanical energy from the weight of the door. When this is done correctly the Opener | Operator has to do minimal work. It is best practice to choose springs within 10 pounds of the garage door weight as outside that will cause the motor to work harder than needed to open/close the garage door.
These labels/stickers are located on the shaft that the springs are inside. Labels are often Yellow, Blue, or White and may have a slightly different layout than what is seen below.
Door Weight
WT or BAL WT refers to the garage door weight. Oftentimes, you may see that this says 0. You can use the specific spring information or the part number to search for each spring.
Left-Hand Spring Info
0.133X40.23 LH is part number 314970 (not shown) and is the Left-Hand spring information.
Right-Hand Spring Info
TM3 or TorqueMaster PLUS
0.137X42.85 RH is Part Number 314973 and is the Right-Hand Spring information.
Part Number
Wayne Dalton only includes the 6-digit part number for the right-hand spring. The left-hand spring info is generally on the top right of the same label. Here you have 0.133X40.23 LH (314970 - Not Shown) 0.137X42.85 RH (314973 - Shown Here)
Shaft Installation Side
This does not refer to any of the spring information. If you have a double spring system, both spring info will be displayed on this label on the lines above.
This is strictly for the original installation, referring to which side of the shaft this is installed on.

The parts and the instructions were spot on and I was able to fix my garage door in a timely matter and avoid a big bill
Easy replacement and a very useful instructions were included. It was my first time replacing the garage door springs and it was very useful that website suggested the other side spring since I wasn't sure how many the garage door needs.
Installation was easy. These did not fit in the original cuff/protective sleeve inside the bar. Had to cut the bar but that may be a normal thing. Worked great! Thanks for helping my garage come back to life!
I was given an expected delivery date of a Saturday for the spring but it was delivered early on a Friday. I installed it the same day and it’s working great so far.
I would like to recognize Tyler for taking the time to walk me through about the product.

Thank you for the help. You shipped quickly and website is good. My package made it within 5 miles of my house then ups decided to take it on a detour through Nevada. Took an extra week to get to me but I installed it the same afternoon. I will be using you again in the future
No issues with any part of transaction very easy install with clear instructions included. Fixed issue with the door and old spring was definitely broken a few inches away from the end piece.

Great experience overall. I'm very happy with the prices and shipping time. These parts, along with the easy to follow instructions that were included, saved me quite a bit of money. 10/10 would recommend!
Put in door model and spring model… came up with what I needed. Got here in a couple days and changed out my springs at my house and garage door is good as new
You could add a W. D. Part number reference, along with the coiling direction X coil dia. X wire thickness X length listing. 1 number verses 4 parameters makes sense.
What info you do have informed me that the WD dealer in Spokane Washington installed the wrong right hand spring, and was overtight, which contributed to its short 2 year lifespan. Thanks.
Your shipment came a day early 😳. I had your new spring pair installed in 2 hours after delivery. 😄
Tyler got me the exact springs I needed by just providing the sticker information on my garage over the phone. Shipping was easy. Tyler was also a great help, providing me with some helpful tips and tricks for the install I did myself.
